ExperienceI have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. I worked as a tutor the entire time I was in college, both on a volunteer basis and as employment. My tutoring experience includes working with many different types of students of different ages spanning from elementary school to college. I am able to successfully adapt to the levels and needs of various students. My goal is to apply my tutoring experience by eventually entering the teaching profession.I am comfortable tutoring many subjects in Math and Science, ranging from basic Mathematics to Calculus, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Life Sciences. However, I am most passionate about Math. I am convinced that mastery of Mathematics is essential for comprehending many different areas of Science. I love finding appropriate methods for presenting Math concepts to an individual student in order to help the student find the path to understanding. In my free time, I enjoy reading about science and technology and expanding my knowledge. I also spend time in active outdoor activities, such as hiking and playing various sports. I make it a priority to spend as much time with my children as I can.
